Dr Raymond W. Grant is a retired professor of geology, with a Ph.D. from Harvard University. He is the founder and curator of the Pinal Geology and Mineral Museum, along with the founder and president of the Pinal Geology and Mineral Society.
Ray is also a life member, past president, and board member of the Mineralogical Society of Arizona, as well as past chairman of the Flagg Mineral Foundation.
He is a mineralogist and co-author of Mineralogy of Arizona (1995, 2022). He has personal collections of thumbnails and mineral spheres.
